I hope the title grabbed your attention! I have finally acquired my psychedelic of choice again. One thing I remember from last time I tripped that really killed me was....music! My playlist was way too varied to be enjoyable. BL, what is your GO-TO song when in an altered state of mind?

look up the band Mineral. Mid 90s emo (not what you probably think) from austin. This is my go to when I trip. Probably 75% of my trips I listen to this band.Always pulls me out of band times, and drives the trip in beautiful ways. It is like they were created specifically for me to listen to while tripping.

I often stick to music from the first glorious years of LSD's mass consumption: The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead. They're old but they still deliver what they promised: blowing your mind.

PS: please notice we've got twomusic forums on bluelight:

And also dozens of threads on psychedelics and music in this forum (dubstep, classical music and everything in between)

The album Soon it will be cold enough by Emancipator is a favorite of mine. An example of a go to song off of it would be Father King.

You definitely wanna listen to entire albums or DJ mixes that flow into each other and provide a total experience and journey.

Pink Floyd is always good, Gold Panda's album with "You" on it is good, anything Boards of Canada but I recommend Music Has The Right To Children, really any concept album.

Lounge music like Supperclub or Buddha Bar.

If you're more into the heavy stuff I'd recommend Pantha du Prince (Diamond Daze/This Bliss/Black Noise).

Do yourself a favor: watch Pink Floyd's Live at Pompeii. You won't regret it. I watched it on LSD on a 60" 1080p HD television. I love Pink Floyd sober, but hallucinogens add another layer to their music.

Something like Burial is always good :) Goes well with dissociatives like ketamine and MXE too, in my opinion.

New Riders of the Purple Sage when “The Adventures of Panama Red” (1973) was released. The live performances are best. Chose from the 1973-1974 shows.

I like the recommendations in here for Boards of Canada and Burial. I also really like Aphex Twin's "Selected Ambient Works vol.2" - it creates such a magical atmosphere where it almost feels like time doesn't exist.

But it really just depends what you're into. Go with the music you love.
