Oxy ER

I'm currently taking 10mg oxycodone ER three times a day and have been on opiates for some time. I would like to cut in half because I'm running out and it's not cutting it for pain.

Is it safe and will it work? I don't want to waste a pill.

Well if 10mg isn't working 5mg will do even less. Might as well just taper off it and count your blessings.

Yeah but doesn't breaking a time release do anything?

Yes, They say it can alter the ER mechanism. 10 mg 3 times a day is a fairly low dose, perhaps if you are not comfortable breaking the pills, why not taper one full pill at a time. Which type of oxy er is is your rx'd if you don't mind the ask

It's oxycodone tab 10mg ER. What can I do to give me the high and take the pain away? This is not cutting it.
