So I know there's quite a lot of drugs that interact with SSRI's like Fluoxetine, and taking them in combination you're running the risk of Serotonin Syndrome. However I've recently found an OTC drug called Cyproheptadine, and it states on Wiki that "It has been used in the management of moderate to severe cases of serotonin syndrome, a complex of symptoms associated with the use of serotonergic drugs, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and mono amine oxidase inhibitors"
Does that mean that if I was to take DXM and I'm currently taking Fluoxetine daily, and then took Cyproheptadine I wouldn't get SS, or if I did would it treat it?
It also states that it's a anticholinergic drug - in simple terms what does that mean?
