I am on 4 75mg Nucynta a days well as 2 150mg Extended Release Nucynta a day for severe chronic pain. Due to a severe pain episode early in the month, I ran out early. For a day I have taken Dilauted 4mg which I was prescribed for severe breakthrough pain. I hate them and they don't really help me much so I don't want to take any more. I have some 25mg Fentanyl patches (that I wasn't prescribed). I have 3 days until I refill my Nucynta prescription and from then forward I have no interest in taking anything beside my normal pain medicine at any point. I was wondering if with my tolerance, would it be safe to wear the patch? I know it is for 72 hours which would bring me to when I get my meds refilled. Any information you could give me would be helpful. Thank you.
