Hey all, so I've been a regular smoker for the past 10 years. Lately I just prefer a little smoke in the evening to take the edge off before bed. Although lately I have thought that an edible might better suit my needs. Most recipes call for dairy to bind the THC. I was thinking of using coconut oil instead but I'm hoping to source some recipes that work well with coconut oil.
Thanks.

Hello!
I've found you can use coconut oil instead of butter (or whatever you would normally use). ;) %)
I have found a few good vegan edible recipes for myself, I'll post one here:
Infused Coconut Oil warmed to liquid
1 cup sugar
½ cup almond milk
¼ brown sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 cup vegan chocolate chips (optional)
? cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease baking sheet.
2. Mix together Cannabis Coconut Oil, sugar, almond milk, brown sugar, water, cornstarch and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Set aside.
3. Mix together flour, vegan chocolate chips, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
4. Add flour mixture to Cannabis Coconut Oil mixture slowly. Stir all ingredients together.
5. Form dough into 1-inch balls and place them two inches apart on baking sheet.
6. Bake in preheated oven for 8 – 10 minutes. Remove cookies from oven. Leave on baking sheet for 5 minutes.
7. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool before serving."

Infusing into coconut oil is a great alternative to butter or ghee. Some people also use MCT oil (liquid coconut oil) or even other oils (sesame, vegetable, grapeseed) but those can pose problems in cooking.
