I've been on suboxone for a year now taking 16 Mgs a day and I want to take one oxy 30 mg.. How long do I have to wait till taking the oxy?
 
Wait until you're in withdrawals, if you're on 16mg of suboxone that could be anywhere from a day to possibly 3-4.
 
Drop your dose by half each day. When your down to 4 mg a day 24 hours later you should be OK although I'd recommend dropping even more. How come you take so much suboxone? It will jack your tolerance crazy high. There's really no reason to take more than eight. It's like there's a sweet spot and too low leads to pain, tension, yawning, teary eyes, and maybe some other issues and too much leads to sweating and hot /cold flash swings. It's not full withdrawals, but depending on your living environment it can be just enough to push one over the edge as it does me.
