My son took 1/4 of a 50MG naltrexone last night and is going through precipited withdrawals now. He asked me to post the following question. What would happen if he took the another 1/4 later in the day. He is bound and determined to making his doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon for a vivitrol shot and he is scared that he may break down and try and try and buy his DOC before then

I'm going to move this thread over to Basic Drug Discussion where you will get more answers :)

Best of luck to your son.

I have been in your sons position b4, and i would advise against taking more naltrexone. Also i hate to be that guy but vivitrol is a bad choice for this addiction. It is not a magic bullet vivitrol is like putting a bandaid on.

Snowy,

How is Vivitrol a bandaid? I'm interested to hear your logic. If anything, buprenorphine is a bandaid. Please elaborate.
