ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A music teacher in western New York is accused of stealing dozens of school instruments and selling them for cash to feed her heroin addiction, the New York State Police said

Danielle Conner-Willowglade, 30, faces multiple charges in both Livingston and Monroe counties. She was charged with one count of third-degree grand larceny in Livingston County. She was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance in Monroe County.

State police said more charges and pending.

Conner-Willowglade was a music teacher in the Keshequa elementary, middle and high schools. She is accused of stealing instruments from the schools and taking them to pawn shops in Monroe County for cash.

State police said Conner-Willowglade admitted to taking up to 50 instruments from the school to get cash to feed her heroin addiction.

Troopers began investigating after a trooper pulled Conner-Willowglade over and, during a routine traffic stop, noticed a tuba in the back seat of her car. The school district checked their inventory while state police checked pawn shops.

Troopers eventually recovered 12 instruments and a desktop computer from pawn shops.

Conner-Willowglade's boyfriend, Nicholas Bump, has also been charged, state police said. Bump, 31, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He also faces more charges.

State police said the couple would accompany each other and take turns going into pawn shops to sell instruments.

She is very lucky that she wasn't in colorado.. there were so many things getting stolen and pawned, much was attributed to the rise of popularity of meth, that Im pretty sure its a minimum five year stretch for anyone that pawns a stolen item. Im not sure if they could be run concurrently but I assume so. Im not even sure if their is much of a trial as you fill out that slip when you pawn the stuff saying it yours and isn't stolen. It amazing how strong addiction can be as some people would still do this knowing full well they were going to get caught and sit five years.

Good one slimvictor, I agree it's time for her to change her tune.

Most likely around half of it original value if its in perfect condition and not and antique or collectors.. You can usually get them to give you about half pf what it cost brand new if its still in demand for almost evrything at the PAWN SHOP..
