I have read somewhere on this site that "morphine sulphate is much harder to get off of than other forms of morphine and that the acute withdrawal is twice as long than injectable morphine salts (paraphrasing but the gist is as described).

Is there any truth in this? I can imagine how slow release morphine that is taken orally could lead to more prolonged withdrawal as it is in the body 24/7 but other than that is there any true difference between morphine sulphate and other forms that make sulphate inherently harder (longer) to withdraw from?

Ank knowledgeable opinion would be very appreciated.
