Modafinil, benzos and related drugs

So what's the deal with the modafinil, it's legal for me to buy online or not?
 
As a prescription-only medicine (POM) that is not controlled by the Misuse of Drugs Act, Modafinil is legal to import for personal use. But a large order might be risky. If SWIY wants to stay under the radar and not risk raising suspicions of intent to distribute, my pet ghost suggests ordering smaller amounts, even if it ends up being more expensive.

Well neither the zinc or caffeine has got me focused and motivated tonight, procrastinating like mad in fact.
 
Procrastinating like mad? As in, really focused on procrasinating?
Perhaps they are helping you focus but you're focusing on shite like importing modafinil.
 
Nah, I'm not focusing on anything, jumping from one thing to another, have about a dozen tabs and windows open and making no progress on any of them.
 
AFAIK Modafinil is not a controlled substance in the UK, there are numerous statements to that effect on the net, I don;t have a copy of the misuse of drugs act or the inclination to read it it in it's entirety.

I doubt it's totally legal to import or distribute it, but I also doubt it's totally illegal either, virtually no chance of getting into real trouble for possession though ...once the OB have worked out what those pills are;)
 
Sorry, old thread I know but Started a newer one recently and it got lost.... I'm always under the influence of Benzos, mostly FlubromazePAM, Diazepam, Diclazepam, Meclonazepam etc.. So even though I don't take consistent doses of these Benzos daily I'm sre they could be dulling a lot of the effects.

Took 200mg Modanifil around nearly 2 hours ago and definetly feel it although a little bit jittery so I may take some Benzos to knock the edge off and then dose another 200mg Modafinil or 150mg Armodafinil seeing how I feel. Tried the same doses minus the Benzos yesterday at work. At home today, need to clean my room, vivit the computer shop, then maybe get on the decks (Vinyl) and have a mix which should be interesting.. Especially as Modafinil is supposed to aid focus and concentration.

Btw, the Modafinil brand that I have are 'Modalert', and the Armodafinil are 'Acrionite-150' brand from India.

Mods please move/create new thread if necessary.

Probably a wise idea to keep your BZD dose as low as possible, IME Modafinil is barely perceptible alone, let alone through a benzo-fog.

To be honest I'd usually stay as far away as possible from any stimulant type substance due to the reasons like (severe) anxiety, depression and insomnia that I'm already prone to. So I was very dubious about trying this substance, and as a safety net I was Benzo'd when I consumed the 3 different seperate doses of Modafinil and Armodafinil.

I'm probably trying to achieve the impossible.. - Good/sharp concentration/focus with no anxiety.

Side effects I've noticed are: Slight headache, bad guts/mild diarrhea, ocassional slight jitteryness, slight mood lift. I don't feel any motivation, extra focus/concentration, sociability at all. Although, once I go out and socialise later, the sociable effects may become more apparent...
 
All above effects would suggest clinical dehydration, as should be expected from using the nootropics you are consuming.
Keep hydrated, any boost in concentration will be negated by dehydration.

Modalert is the cheap shite indian version that always give you a headache. The modafinil that you pay £100 a box for don't give you the headache. But the tolerance increases within a couple of days and at £100 a box you can't keep taking it. Caffeine tablets are about the best option unfortunately
