Why does my box of Moclobemide say I have to take it with food? I don't normally eat breakfast and I have to take one twice a day. Morning and evening, seeing as I don't eat breakfast I take it on an empty stomach. Is this a problem?

I couldn't really find anything important after doing a quick search on it. It's possibly just to avoid nausea, as some pills can make you nauseous and/or give you a stomach ache if taken on an empty stomach. If anyone else has some more info I'm sure they'll add to this.

It does say you can take it with a snack or light meal, that can even just be one piece of toast or a granola bar.

Yeah, I searched and searched but could not find anything that suggests that it's bad or even dangerous to have on an empty stomach. I just thought that maybe some knowledgeable bluelighter might know. I mean, I don't get any nausea or stomach upset when I take it in the morning when I wake up. I usually get up at 6am and probably don't eat until about 10am so.... who knows.
