I have pretty persistent insomnia issues, so I end up writing poetry when I can't sleep. I can't write any other time really, its pretty strange. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this, wrote it last night at 4am.

See things in front of me, not how they’re supposed to be.
Mind puts a filter on my lens, odd photography.
Not here to accomplish goals, just grow and simply be,
My objective soul experiencing the world subjectively.
No need to heed my words,
Just see them as a seed.
To bring about an awakening,
A revolution we surely need.
The world on a path,
When a fork in the road arises,
Bleak horizons can enslave your mind,
So wipe away your vices.
Detach from all, then bliss arises,
Look to the core of your being,
But be ready for some surprises.
Intuition blazing
like the Buddha that’s got me hazing
Fading into a feeling like meditating
while conscious and awake then watch my dreams precipitating.

Peace to you.

I enjoyed this piece which I assume is about perception. I can relate to it, being a closet insomniac myself.

It is indeed about perception. Perception is everything! I had a "revelation" so-to-speak a few years ago and it's had me asking a lot of existential questions. I haven't seen anything the same since.

I've only recently developed real insomnia issues, but they've lead to some interesting nights of introspection and writing, so i'm not too annoyed by it yet.

Well, I hope your insomnia clears up, but keep posting as long as you're up!
