I'm in my 30s now and was used to bunsen burners using gas lol annnd now I've begun playing with my food these days 
This is what I've been wondering. For mw-synths, is it basically like an addition and irradiation? Also, would this bear similarities to electro synthesis?
For the addition of carbon molecules:
starting compound in Polar solvent + Carbon powder > MW = A
Hydrogenation:
A in Polar solvent + NaBH4 > MW = B
