Micron filters for hr

I am a chronic pain sufferer and take hydromorphone and am on a 20mcg butrans patch. I just bought 2 micron filters to filter my hydromorphone because I sometimes like to take my hydros by I.v. route. I am wondering how long can I use the filter? Is it only safe to use it the day I open it or can I rinse it out a reuse it? It's just that I have to order them by mail and they take as many as 9 days to receive them. Also, they are not cheap as I'm sure some of you know. I would filter several of them and store them but I only have a little bacteriostatic water left. Any help with this would be appreciated.

i guess reusing one a few times would be okay as long as it isn't clogged.
if its clogged then chuck it
