Methylphenidate (Ritalin) gives me anxiety even at therapeutic doses, so I only use it for 2 or 3 days out of the month at fairly high doses (200 to 300 mgs oral per day) when I have a lot of work to do.
The MPH works fairly decent to get work done but it gives me HORRIBLE anxiety at those 200 to 300 mgs doses. Yes, I know it's a very high dose and I need to bring it down even in those 2 or 3 days binging on it. I don't even use MPH in my normal life as I fucking hate how it makes me feel. Has way more cons than pros for me (can't get d-amp prescribed here).
I have to take big doses of benzos and pregabalin to be able to concentrate on what I'm working on without getting extreme anxiety from 200mg to 300 mgs doses (per day) and, worst of all: Hypersexuality.
Literally, I get the urge to masturbate to porn that I would otherwise not masturbate on this MPH shit. It's not deviant porn or the gross kind, but I just have it in the back of my mind to watch some porn all the time while on MPH.
The hypersexuality is worse than the anxiety, and the benzos don't calm down the hypersexuality. It's annoying and makes me feel like shit, but it turns it into a compulsion.
I understanding 200 to 300 mgs is a big dose, but even a therapeutic dose brings on hypersexuality to annoying and distracting levels.
It seems to me that orgasming on MPH (Ritalin) kills the buzz and taking another dose after orgasming only works like 50% of the positive effects of the same dose without orgasming. Side effects are notably increased too.
Anyone here find out that orgasming on MPH kills the good buzz and redosing doesn't have the magic of redosing without orgasming?
In my case, I've experienced enough of this to be almost confident the buzz is killed and redosing again just brings the negative effects more strongly.
Perhaps the release of dopamine upon orgasming just leaves the synapses with no more dopamine to reuptake via the MPH? I'd assume amphetamines would still work their magic after orgasming since they release dopamine more than just reuptake it unlike MPH.
Just a question pondering my mind.
