My son is on Concerta for severe ADHD. One time many years ago I accidently took one. The 10 mg looks like a generic Xanax. My son calms down and able to focus. I don't have ADHD for me it makes me want to jump out of my skin and increases my HR and BP to dangerously high rates. Why does it affect him so differently?

Well it's like suboxone in a way I guess. If your an active opioid addict then there will be little effect on you other than feeling normal but if your not an opioid addict it will knock you out.
