Meth use and long term stomach issues?

Hi, new here. Not exactly sure how all of this works, but thought it was worth a try. I just wanted to inquire a little about long term stomach problems with meth use. When I was 16, I was introduced to meth. That was the first drug I tried. I did meth just about every week from January to May 2014. Did it one more time in August 2014. I didn't do it again until May 2015-June 2015. I once again tried to quit but ended up doing it again in September 2015. In early 2015 I began having horrible stomach and digestive issues. Never had anything like it before. It started with bouts of the ruins and occasional constipation. Now I have horrible abdominal pain nearly every day. I is wondering if possible past drug use could have anything to do with it. Or if I should bring it up to my doctor. Since September of 2015, I started using prescription pills like hydrocodone just about every week for a couple of months. Could that have anything to do with it as well? I knows that all of my past drug use may have nothing to do with this, but the doctors can't find anything wrong besides stomach acid which I'm prescribed medication for.

Sounds like you need to see a gastroenterologist instead of a family practitioner. It could be an inflammatory bowel disease. Sometimes family practitioners really suck, specialists are usually much better.

If it is an inflammatory bowel disease (for example ulcerative colitis) then I believe it's the end result of a stressful life, not just meth use. There is a big connection between inflammatory conditions (auto immune disease) and stress, there are much higher rates of such disease in women in our society because typically girls are under more stress.

Are you still using meth or the pain pills? You mentioned stomach pain and constipation on top of acid reflux. So if you're currently not taking any drugs at all, (besides the prescribed for stomach) this should be checked. Drugs like hydrocodone are known to cause stomach issues and constipation so I would quit using them completely. See if this alleviates your symptoms. Like above poster said, a gastroenterologist can run some tests. Note I edited your post because we do not allow "swim" usage or any of it's variants. Welcome to Bluelight!
