Meprobamate Dependency

I'm hoping someone with knowledge/experience with Meprobamate (Miltown) can advise. How quickly does this stuff cause dependency and how rough is the kick? All the information I can find (easily) on the web is for Soma, and while carisoprodol does metabolize (in part) to meprobamate, I have no idea if the two drugs are functionally equivalent enough to make a direct comparison.

Here's the context:

A friend of mine recently got an order of 100 Meprobamate (400mg) tabs from his favorite online vendor, and proceeded to eat about 90 of them over a two-three week period. He asked me if he should be worried about W/D's and I couldn't give him a good answer.

I know the stuff binds to barbiturate receptors, and my friend has been benzo dependent numerous times, which I'm sure will make it worse.

Thanks in advance

Probably be irritable for a few days, but it shouldn't be that serious after only 3 weeks.

Man, I love mill towns, more so than soma! I miss em.
