Last time I ordered 5-htp from a well-known US site I added some melatonin in for my BF - I got an email back from them saying they wouldn't ship the melatonin to Australia due to customs here...

If you read the thread in its entirety you'd have noticed that homeopathic melatonin has always been available on Australian shelves. Or did you mean the full-strength stuff?

for me melatonin works quite well. my friend had a dual release one and he is quite an insomniac. stays up and rolls around for 4 hours, this stuff knocks him out and giveshim a lot of energy the next day.

Maybe its an extra strong placebo that if you don't believe in it, it wouldn't work?

It's good for jet lag. Just got back from America and I've pretty much readjusted due to melatonin helping me to get to bed last night.
