MDMA and Psychiatric Medicine

I'm very hesitant to try ecstasy or molly because of all the stuff I've read about taking stuff on top of my psychiatric medicine. I'm on an antipsychotic and two mood stabilizers as well as an antidepressant and adhd med. I'm worried that it will overload my serotonin levels and make me have a seizure or something. Am I just paranoid or is there actually a danger?

Taking MDMA while on that combination of medications is something that's just not well understood. Is there a danger? Yes, pretty much anything could happen. MDMA does not play nice with antidepressants, in particular. All of that is to say nothing of the underlying conditions that require you to take those meds in the first place.

I suggest you avoid MDMA for the time being.

I think so too. I have bipolar disorder and depression, I figured that I'd feel like crap for a while after but I just wanted the experience. Bummed that I can't experience it but rather be safe than sorry! Thanks for the advice!
