Sorry for not revisiting this thread for so long.
It was definitely not nbombe or DOX that I was taking. I've worked with LSD a lot over the years and you'll just have to trust me on that one.
Xorkoth was right in that I don't take psychs anymore (not by choice but by health problems). The reason for me asking about preservatives is that I've wondered over the years if somehow LSD or its related preservatives somehow contributed to the onset of my severe auto-immune gut problems.
Ruling out a preservative based problem, there's the whole neuroscience connection. LSD trips gave me gut troubles. I would have gut-related anxiety all the time especially on the come-up, and then it would go away for the rest of the trip. Inflammatory bowel and other gut diseases are very related to the neuroglia, which are intimately connected with various neural stimulation, especially stress-based. LSD is such a broad spectrum 5Ht agonist that it makes me wonder if it caused hyper-sensitive upregulation of my gut or downregulation of my immune system somehow, from years of high dose frequent use.
My LSD days were very enjoyable, but I can't help but wonder if the way I did it caused long-term abuse symptoms in my body. In the drug community most people believe that LSD is harmless because of its non-toxicity and how it rapidly clears the body, but I wonder if it can trigger immunological / neurological changes in those prone, triggering latent (genetically predisposed) diseases that require certain conditions, like neural stress, to activate.
This is all theoretical... but I can't ignore that my severe IBD devleoped within a year after stopping my 3 year stint of heavy LSD use. That said, it's impossible to really know. Maybe the disease was always inbound.
Anyway, thanks for reading and contributing. This thread helps me rule out some things from my mountain of research.
