Lord Of The Flies

I thought I was flying
or maybe took a leap
Turns out I stumbled
just fell to the ground
My wings felt divine
but I tore them off insects
out off the puddles
where they once drowned

I was falling for a decade
so weightless, complete
I thought I had control
then I opended my eyes
I had no chance to panic
the pavement drew closer
I guess that I am
I'm the Lord of the flies

And nobody warned me
nobody started screaming
my impact was silent
got crushed with no sound
Now I float in a puddle
unable to feel
I can't even move
I'm just waiting to drown
