Like the movies


I said "Lights"

And "Camera"
Then strung us
into a freeze
frame
I said "Roll"
And we kissed
under softly
queued rain
I said "Cut"
And picked
the plot
to the bone

I said "Lights"

And "Camera"
Then slowly
reeled you
home
I said "Roll"
Lips apart,
once again,
the final take
I said "Scene"
Then I left us
standing
on the stage
