Did you know that there actually is a part of the chemsex / pnp scene in LGBT groups where K is used? Maybe chemsex scenes in general? Well, there is.
('pnp' is an acronym for party and play which means do drugs and have sex)
I once got an explanation why from a friend of mine who is very experienced in this area. He was in club scenes all over for decades and on the festival circuit working various gigs. An incredible life experience really. Anyway, he said that the reason for the ketamine being used for sex would be for its anesthetic properties. So that by using it, it doesn't hurt as much taking a cock.
That makes sense to me. Ketamine is a pretty heavy duty head trip too though, with disassociative drugs really acting as a hard variation of psychedelic drugs. They act on the same parts of the brain as psychedelics to but in different ranges of impact and action. So I've read, and feel my experience with them can attest to that. Ketamine makes the world seem pretty wild, brings up a dreamlike state, and has this weird tunnel vision feeling to it. Not dissimilar to psychedelics on a few levels, but more like going into a dream and drawing me profoundly inward, rather than the lighting up of the world and different sort of profundity psychedelics have brought me to - in my experience.
I theorize that it could be also to make the experience sort of spiritual or primal feeling in nature. I have had some experiences on ketamine when I've felt pretty stripped down. As if broken down to some baser being, It's actually been a scary feeling a couple times. I've mixed it with meth a few times. I've mixed everything with meth basically since it's my #1 DOC that I've been using daily with few breaks for years now since Jan 2020. And had my addictions to it for a few solid years before then even.

So I have asked my same friend about his ketamine use for sex before. He told me stories similar to what I've just described in experience, and also that he was date raped with it once. He was given too much on purpose and he was aware of what was happening, but he couldn't do anything. Whoever this was, he continued to hang with him for whatever reason, some lost soul I guess. He eventually dropped that fucker for good because he was obsessed. All this guy wanted to was club it up and find vulnerable people to dose too much ketamine and have his way with them. A serial rapist.
He told me a lot about his experiences in the gay clubs when he was younger. He was active on the dance floor for a LONG time and has done and seen some pretty incredible things with his life. One of my best friends now.. anyway since a lot of the scene is really the fashionita, shallow type and things like being a young twink are so sought after and held to such a stupidly high regard way shallower than any other scene I've ever encountered. In parts, obviously not everyone is like that.. but the things that can happen at these clubs and parties is absolutely brutal. There's a lot of hurt people here to begin with, and the incidence rate of people being taken advantage of, or just chewed up and spit out by the time they 20-whatever is ridiculous. Then you need to change tribes.
It's true that a lot of gay people are really screwed up, shallow, egotistical, and get into a lot of heavy partying and totally lost in it for a long time, During the AIDS epidemic it was terrifying. Constant party circuit and you never know who is going to show and who is going to wind up as a gossip of the day, dead of AIDS. I'm not nearly old enough to remember that, but I know people who are. There's a lot of unresolved issues still, even in these days, and not a single person in that bracket of sexuality who isn't affected by this. To some level or another.
Even in these days of acceptance and white knighting. A lot of people who get so riled up in their support for us, but aren't actually in the demographic, they misunderstand it so much it's a laugh. Defending a group in the name of defeating homophobia and racism and things like this aren't very well off efforts if you don't make the effort to understand the negative points of a group culturally, and really in some aspects. Blindly looking for the hater to hate on and defend someone absolutely isn't a good defense; It's annoying. What I'm saying is if you are pro-XYZ demographic and issue, also look at the issues at a whole and maybe think 'What can I do help'?

Meth and GHB in particular are the two main identifiers here, with coke, k, pot, molly, and viagra being the mix mainly from there. I've come across DMT as well from a dealer who was primarly involved with this crowd and partied hard himself. I\ve been too caught up in it myself for a few years now and I've had some horrific experiences I'm going to leave out of this post. A lot of fucked up, hurt people. Some flat out predatory. It's sad. There's not a lot in the way of resources for this, and the idea of hooking up when I'm high is still a fairly regular occurence. I pick up too as a reasonably good looking guy. What I pick up is sometimes is such a detriment to my health, and my life, often enough. I'm surprised I'm not dead.
