Hello,
Levomethadone is now used as an alternative to racemic (?) Methadone.
The good part is that it has higher affinity/selectivity for the mu-opioid-receptor; the receptor responsible for the euphoria and good effects of Methadone.
The bad part is that it's a weaker NMDA-antagonist, meaning, theoretically, and this is coming from my mind so please correct me if I'm wrong, that the tolerance-increase will be more significant than with regular Methadone.
Has anyone tried levomethadone (as therapy, i e every day, not just once or so) and noticed any difference?
Best regards
