I need some help with usa federal law regarding large benzodiazepine prescriptions. So, here's the story . I went to my pyschatrist and told them that Ativan really does help me. It gives me a break from my depersonalization and helps me manage my stress and anxeity. He says okay, was the amount last time okay. I say at the time sure, but I'm not doing so great now, I would like the ability to take up to 1mg a night if needed. He says okay, do you want 90? I said yes thinking he meant 90 day supply, NOT 90 mg.
Go to the pharmacy and i felt so fucking judged. The worker slightly gleered at me as she handed me the bottle. Any ways, what I need help with. It says I have 3x refills by x/×/2023, I called it in to get refilled on the proper 30 day mark. And didn't get the confirmation code I usually get. I know pharmacy`s can denny refills for a list of reasons, but I very clearly do not come off as someone who abuses drugs. I dress nice, fairly clean cut, I look like a business guy. And sure, I snort them time to time, yet I rarely ever go over 1mg at night. And Honestly, my insurance is gonna drop because of a new job transition. So I am really hoping I can get all 3 filled. Otherwise I'm going to have to get them in a less safe fashion.
Is there any reason I'm not aware of that could stop them from filling it?
Is there a maximum perscription quantity

) as somebody who was basically forced to take benzodiazepines for 5 years and than had few horrible slow taper withdrawals that were terminated cause of sheer pain and anguish that they bring I would advise to really be cautious with even 0.5mg. If you don't like to be ruled by outside forces benzos can lead to waaay more brutal authoritarian. It is just inside you as disruption of the GABA system in the body which is essential for inhibiting fiering of the neurons in your whole body (oposing force comes via glutamate, in dr. Googles terms, which is my highest level of understanding cause I am not a medical expert). Using benzos shapes your CNS and ANS in a way that inner certified degree dictator emerges if used for prolonged period of time. I am still on benzos and will probably be till the rest of my life 2 decades after I was forced to start taking them. Proceed with great caution. They certainly have their place and are too vilified and I hope that they will serve you well. Not vice versa. Take care man and update us how it went.
