Klonopin to xanax temporarily

So I am prescribed Klonopin and I take 3 mg a day. I am currently ten days short.

I have 30 mg of xanax that I plan to use to get me through the ten days without my Klonopin. Will it be relatively safe and without issue?

I have searched and tried to find an answer, as I have lurked on this forum for years and this is not something I have seen discussed specifically.

IME benzos can be used interchangeably.

If that's a script you're short on though, bare in mind that its a dangerous path; and expect tolerance.
