Klonopin Taper, Glutamate antagonist?

I'm new to the group.

I've tapered from 2mg Klonopin to 0.25mg over a 6 month period. I plan on stopping here for now. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms and they worsen with alcohol, even 1 drink. I'm stopping the alcohol but was not a heavy use at all.

Any thoughts on Glutamate antagonists for these withdrawal symptoms?

I prefer something natural. I'm open to any ideas whether it's glutamate related or anything else.

Thanks!

Maybe low doses of DXM. Pregnenolone is a a natural GABA-A PaM (like benzos) because most of it is metabolized into allopregnanolone and might be useful to add to the stack. I wouldn't use more than 25-50 mg of preg though. If you can get a prescription, pregabalin/gabapentin is useful for the anxiogenic symptoms of withdrawal, and propranolol (a beta blocker) might help with the psyiological symptoms of withdrawal (sweating, increased heart rate, etc.)
