Not quite sure I believe the fast paced and heavy dialog, but it's content is great. For some reason, throughout the film I kept wondering what Edward Norton would look like as Penn's character.

Good stuff over all, including blond Spacey.

I have never seen anything with Spacey which i did not like.

My favourite is prob. K-Pax, Shrink and Men Who Stare At Goats. Also Jeff Bridges is in K-Pax and Men Who Stare At Goats. He's great also.

I know a lot of people didn't care for it, but i fucking loved The Men Who Stare at Goats. It's one of my favorite movies and i read the book because i liked it so much. Spacey's character is kind of a dick, but he plays it well.

I don't follow national politics much, but i can't believe i never heard of Jack Abramoff before i saw Casino Jack. The level of manipulation and corruption is almost unbelievable. Him and his partner Mike Scanlon each made $21 million by defrauding Indian casinos. Ties to almost everyone in the Bush administration, ties to Sun Cruz gambling cruise ships, ties to sweat shops in US territories, ties to Russian mob (the KGB?) and Russian arms dealers, and even connections to the American mafia. It's mind boggling!

For a movie tie in, he produced blatantly anti communist movie Red Scorpion starring Dolph Lundgren. The money to finance the project came from ties to South Africa. The same South Africa that was perpetuating Apartheid.

After a brief period of watching only new releases at the cinema, I've been picking up films to watch at least twice a week from f&tv. I think I might run down Spacey's filmography to see what else I've missed. I've seen all of those mentioned so far now.

Right now I am enjoying The Ref starring Kevin Spacey and Denis Leary. Not bad so far I will probably watch it again tomorrow. Don't know how I missed this one on Netflix.
