So, I got my first bag of kava in the mail today. It’s instant from kelia (not a brand). The recommended dosage is one table spoon in 4 oz of water. My girl is about to be home soon and I’m going to make her some up to wind down, but I’m concerned about dosage with her having a gastric sleeve and IBS.
Do you think I should give her half the recommended dosage and start there? my concern is I’m wondering if it will A.) get into her blood stream too quickly so needs less of a dose B.) flare up her IBS if given too much.

Edit: I went ahead and tried the half dose. It effected her fine but gave her an allergic reaction. Nothing serious. Just like an allergy to grass type of allergy. So she won’t be trying it anymore.
TBH I’m not sure if I like it myself. It’s very akin to an alcohol feeling or a benzo feeling which I’ve never been a big fan of either so idk. It will probably just sit around for nights I get off work and am stressed or something.
