Stimulants IV meth with no effect? Not missing

Has this happened to anyone before? or does anyone have an explanation as to why it happens?
Its far from the first time ive wasted my shit. spent the last of my money, made up a thick shot. I stuck myself, registered fine, pushed it home, no sting, no redness. I know 100% for sure I didn't miss. I know it was quality shit as well. I smoked a little and could taste it. Plus I put 20 units on it and pulled back 35. It should have been a good shot. but literally nothing happened....
