I’ve been solidly addicted to benzos for most of my adult life—at least a decade. Either kpin or Xanax and more recently flubromazolam/fluclotizolam mixed 50-50. I try to keep my dose as low as possible ~6 mg Xanax equivalent daily.
Occasionally I’ll run short and stretch 2 or 3 typical doses across 7+ days to get through—plenty of withdrawal.
Once I re-up I’ve noticed that no matter how much I take , I still have minor withdrawals for a couple days (totally manageable, just some minor anxiety). It’s not like dope where you are fixed perfectly immediately.
I’m curious if anyone else experiences this and what you think the cause is. Perhaps the nature of absorption of benzos and high distribution/fat solubility? I’d think it had to do with metabolites but I’m not aware of these particular benzos having significant active metabolites
