Opioids Isn't it amazing how opiates/opioids clear up nasal congestion?

Maybe its no surprise, but seriously, is anyone else amazed with how clearly you can breathe through your nose after taking a dose right after the first symptoms of withdrawal start to set in? Maybe its just alcohol that caused the excessive nasal congestion, but by God does the power of the poppy clear that right up. Haha.

Yesss ! And every time I start getting like a soar throat or realing getting a bad cold I take a dose of it or however much I need and I get better instantly and don't ever have to get deathly sick with a flue or cold. ya. wow. it's true!
I suppose that is why codeine is in cough syrup. At least the real and good stuff. lol.

Makes sense. Opiates and opioids are pretty much a multipurpose relief med. But if one thing is for sure, if nasal congestion is the first sign of withdrawal, I'm in for a world of literal suffocating hell the day I decide to quit. I think alcohol contributes greatly to nasal congestion though. Not everyone gets that side-effect from drinking booze, so maybe its an allergic reaction to it. I can't be 100% positive that its a factor, but it happens anytime i drink heavily.

Bourbon/whiskey at the moment, but I prefer absinthe or REAL moonshine (in the southern US its still somewhat obtainable). White whiskey is the only clear liquor I can stomach comfortably. Vodka, rum, and gin tend to give me severe palpitations for whatever reason. I guess i metabolize non-clear liquors better because with whiskey or bourbon, I just get a stuffy nose. Must be something they make it with.
 
...And to the moderators, could you possibly move this to an alcohol thread, if that's okay? I looked and couldn't find it, (maybe because I haven't quite figured out how to use a touch-screen phone yet), but I think I might get more answers on an alcohol thread. I would say an opioid thread would be the appropriate section, but I think this is more booze related.
 
Yeah man. I hate the stuffy nose shit during withdrawal. Even in just 12-24 hours without any opioid in your system, this annoying symptom is already present. One of the most annoying along with premature ejaculation :ROFLMAO: (btw, I can't still find a cure for that hahaha)

Yeah, withdrawal tends to make me crazy horny too. Probably the only positive side effect of withdrawal. Haha.

My fiance is usually turned off when I'm jonesing or on the brink of withdrawal, so at that point I take care of myself too 😉. Haha. Its insatiable. I think its our body's way of badgering us for any kind of endorphin/dopamine/serotonin release, but I'm no doctor.

Yeah and I also think it's kind of a rebound effect (??). Opioids drop testosterone (specially in great dosages) and I have almost no interest in sex, so when you quit the testosterone goes up like foam.

On another note I've found that while high on high doses I like it kinky and can handle rough sex better and I'm even more flexible ; I just can't climax. Haha. We tried to have sex on meth once and neither one of us could get off so we wound up watching porn on our separate computers til it was time for work. Didn't get any sleep. I even took morphine thinking it would wear it off but it didn't work. We normally hate that shit but it was offered for free so we said fuck it, but we wound up deeply regretting that night and we'll never touch that shit again.

I must say that I have sometimes I faped with Tramadol and orgasms are a thousand times better. Weird stuff.

Am I a exception to the rule or does Kratom increase libido.

During my addiction to that leaf I was horny as a bee on a fragant flower. My wife was the problem.

My guess would be yes--if taken in high doses. Pretty much every opiate/opioid and even amphetamines can cause the inability to climax. Not sure why it does that. It makes for some pretty kinky sex though. Haha.

Yes, tramadol being atypical opioid does the same thing as SSRIs antidepressants, which is also hard to climax haha. My partner in those days appreciated it but after a while its really annoying. Also, opioids always lower my libido. I have never tried kratom but I am very curious to try it.

No, but the delaying effect could be present.

But that is a plus as I am/ was eassy arroused. Tramadol is trash, not a match for Kratom. Tramadol I believe would be very different and have an effect on your cum. Never tried it, my wife didn't do sex. She was and is on Tram.

Well, the few times that I have been able to cum with tramadol, the orgasms feel much more intense and enjoyable than when I am sober. Idk can be tramadol affecting serotonin or some other neutransmitter. Different story is with pregabalin. With that shit it's impossible to ejaculate even if I was with Scarlett Johansson hahaha.
