Morning all! So the question I have today is one that has been on my mind for quite some time and people may think I'm weird or revolting or whatever but hey I'm just gonna go ahead and come out with it...

So recently I've become a little obsessed with the idea of finding a female partner who is comfortable enough to fart in front of me!...I don't think it's in any way a s*xual thing and I wouldn't say I have a desire for her to bring that kind of thing in to the bedroom when we're in the middle of getting it on, however I find the idea of a partner being comfortable and confident enough to just relax and let it all out in front of me incredibly attractive. I wouldn't say it's the smell or the sound that I'm attracted to either although I honestly have absolutely no problem with either of those things!

Perhaps this little fetish (if you can even call it that) is due to the social expectation that 'it's not lady like' or that girls 'shouldn't do it' and it being a bit devious if they do but I'd just long to find a partner who would! I wouldn't expect them to do it in public or anything like that, but when they're alone with me and supposedly relaxing then they should be able to just do it if they need to! I don't particularly buy in to the idea that someone passing a lot of gas means they are unfit or unhealthy either, I mean a high fibre diet can be very good for you but it can also prompt a build up inside your stomach that needs letting out and hey at the end of the day we all fart right?! It's natural...it's more unnatural to keep it bottled up inside!

Now I've tried to figure out myself where this peculiar desire of mine stems from, it could well be that my only real previous long term partner was dead against the idea and even openly told me she found it unattractive if I ever broke wind in front of her...I never once heard her fart in the whole 5 years we were together even though I openly told her that I wouldn't mind if she did...I dunno maybe she was just born without a fully functioning rectum or something! On the other hand,it could well be that this is all very weird I'm just a bit of a deviant!

So I guess after all this my question is to the ladies...would you find it weird/gross if a guy found your gas attractive/openly encouraged you to do it? Or am I best just keeping this little desire of mine to myself?

I don't think it's a weird thing per se - your seeking a close relationship with a women who is relaxed and comfortable around you enough to fart. I know some women who have been married for years yet don't feel comfortable farting in front of their partners - I personally think it's a bit strange that they wouldn't.

People fart and women queef - yeah I wouldn't be happy if my partner let rip when eating but apart from that I really don't care.
 
I don't think it'd be weird for a man to encourage his partner to openly fart in front of him, unless he was really insistent on it and it was some sort of fetish (that his partner is uncomfortable with). My boyfriend of a year has no reservations about farting in front of me no matter how stinky or loud, but I try to hold mine in more often than not in front of him. If I do fart and he notices and says something, I won't deny it. But I don't know that I'll every feel 100% comfortable doing it in front of him.

tbh I think it's kinda cute when a chick is comfortable to fart in front of me. but if she breaks that barrier, then she better be okay with me playfully holding her down on the bed while simultaneously farting on her, while also laughing unconttrollably

It often takes time. I avoid farting to begin with. But I have (by accident) in front of my partner and we shrug it off like eh it happens.
I think it more just takes time. On the first few dates, people are so into making a great first impression so that likely wouldn't happen.

I had this issue with my ex.

At first it wasn't a big deal really but after a while it seemed like she was.. "too comfortable" with it. She had no discretion and they were loud, frequent and gnarly.
She would interrupt herself (and me) in mid sentence sometimes to lift her leg and forcefully let them out.. Sometimes she would find it funny to fart on me and when I would freak out from her disrespect she would just laugh (or get angry) at me and tell me "it's just air!"

Over the years she also gained a lot weight and by the end of it all I've become quite repulsed by her farting and I lost any and all attraction to her.

I understand the idea of being comfortable passing gas in front of your partner, even I've done it.. Even big loud stinky ones, but if I can help it I try not to make it a big deal. I think you should simply consider the feelings of the other person and respect their personal boundaries.. For me, she did not.


As for the OP; I get it. It's not really even about the farting it's self. It's more about the comfort of lacking shame in front of you and trusting in your non-judgement. However this isn't really the kind of thing that you really bring up on the first couple dates unless you're already well acquainted
 
Honestly I never understood why girls are scared to fart in front of others. Girls I went to college with would go to the restroom in the middle of class JUST to fart... Now that is weird. Then again I've never been the uptight/proper little princess type so perhaps I'm the minority here. Farts are funny man especially if you're in the shower together and it's so loud and wet.. Lmao hahaha
 
Oh man I HATE farting in front of a guy. If it happens then I'll just laugh and shrug it off but I always try my best to not do so. It's weird because I'll burp loud as hell and I couldn't care less but farting makes me feel unattractive.
 
I fart like fuck all the time (I'm a guy), I let one rip at least every 15 mins.

I don't get the whole disgust thing, it's just air emitting from the body, I mean Jesus, why do folk make such a big deal out of it? Yes, they stink, but unfortunately they can't be helped.
 
Well having some manners is also good (not implying anyone here has bad manners) like, I won't fart openly if I'm meeting someone's parents for the first time or if I'm at a job interview obviously. But if it's just me and my family/bf I don't care. It's not like I'd fart in my bfs face while we are doing 69 either lol time and place for everything..

Bahaha, sometimes me and my guy compete for loudest burp/fart. It takes me a while to get to that comfort level, though. It's also good to test the waters, some people are repulsed by it. But those people are no fun!

nah, i kind of understand that you like the intimacy thing. though i used to get really pissed of at my ex farting all the time when id rarely do it in front of her, so be careful what you wish for. women's farts can be every bit as brutal as a man's.
