Iowa man complains to cops he was stiffed in drug deal

An Iowa City, Iowa, man called police to complain he'd been stiffed in a drug deal, and when they arrived, he admitted he'd smoked crack cocaine recently and asked if they'd like to see the pipe he used, according to published reports.

Daniel Noehl, 57, of Iowa City, was arrested on Sunday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and prohibited acts, according to the Iowa City police blotter.

Noehl telephoned the police to say he'd sold three bottles of his prescription medicine to a friend but the friend had not paid him, according to the Press-Citizen. Apparently, the police weren't traveling quickly enough for Noehl's taste and he telephoned them three or four times while they were en route to see what was taking so long, according to the Press-Citizen piece.
