Inspired - My First Poem

This is my first poem, Pagey inspired me to write something. All I can say is that I tried.


He's a man thats reached his age.
Morals set and open-mindedness closed.
While others flourish, but constantly change.
He sits and judges.
Never thinking he's wrong.
Why would he be?
For he already got his.
His conscious can't be changed.
He owns his misery.
Yet, this is nothing but normal.
The others just try to forever grow.

I quite like it. Particularly the lines:

It's really powerful. I know a few people who would benefit from reading it, too. Heh.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! I have been told I have a way with them, but have never really explored writing to much. I have a lot of friends who are into the hip-hop scene in vancouver, and I am an avid underground listener. However, I have never actually tried to write, maybe after this I will!
