Ibogaine/Kratom Interaction

Hello, newbie here. I am a 17 yr opiate addict and am strongly considering Ibogaine treatment next week at a clinic in Canada. I am currently on about 5g of Kratom daily after being on subutex. Wondering if anyone has been using Kratom up until their Ibogaine treatment and how the process played out? I have 'heard' that its not good to be on Kratom before Ibogaine as the alkaloids get confused.

I have never done ibogaine, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but i would assume that having any opiate/opioid in your system during an ibogaine experience would be a bad idea. Ibogaine in and of itself can be a difficult experience, so you definitely dont want to make it any worse by adding in the substance that youre trying to stop using. Using the kratom during the experience may cause an internal mental conflict that may not be helpful during your cathartic journey
