I had a bad experience with ativan, klonopin and seroquel. Would taking xanax be bad?

3 years ago, I took ativan for 1 day. Then I took klonopin twice a day at .5mg and seroquel at 100mg twice a day for the course of 2 weeks. I stopped cold turkey without knowing any better, and had bad withdrawals. It took me too months of bad withdrawals (tapering per my psych instructions) to get off both klonopin and seroquel.

I'm not sure if maybe i'm sensitive to benzos or medication in general?

I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to take xanax in cause I get bad anxiety?

My psych didn't want to prescribe me xanax, but klonopin instead but I prefer xanax because it works faster. I think I would feel better to have xanax in my pocket just in case.

I'm not sure why he didn't want to prescribe me xanax.

Also, I don't think I want to take klonopin again because of those bad withdrawals, but i'm not sure if it's because of seroquel or the combo.
