hypertension (high-blood pressure) and an abnormally high heart-rate; the dangers

....See a cardiologist, your GP can refer you. I'm putting it simply as if I start rambling about measuring cardiac function, stroke volume, ejection fraction etc it's going to be confusing. See a cardiologist they specialize in this kind of thing. GP's are great but they are not experts and you need to see a specialist.....

Best reply imo. After all, they are the spealist.

...my cardiologist appointment is booked for the 29th of Ja
.....
my diastolic reading has rarely reached over 100 and I think the last checkup I had was ~80 give or take, minus the betablockers (didnt take em that morning) which I should also mention, my HR was 99BPM without em which is a good sign... (my systolic reading was still 140+)
....

A diastole reading sub-100 isn't alone worrying. (although your cardiologist will of course take your entrie history into account.

...without goin into detail, the blood and urine results have come up negative of PCC (although I still wanted the MRI done to be certain, decided against it in the end) but by the looks of it, I very well likley have pulmonary hypertension :( :(....

Good to hear neg. on the PCC.

...not only do I have most symptoms of it, I have a considerably loud 2nd heart sound which has me worried as all fuck... not many other things can cause that can they? ....

(although I am no heart specialist) A split S2 (I'm guessing that's what you mean by a "2nd heart sound") afaik can be a number of things (all of which of couse need follow up - HCM [hypertrophic cardiomyopathy], aortic stenosis, etc.

Imo you're doing all the right things; going to your GP/cardiologist, staying away from drugs, (try to) eat/live as healthy as possible, blah blah.

Again, goodluck mate! :)

I have high blood pressure too and when I tried meth last both my eyeballs started bleeding. Whites of eyes were all blood. Not bleeding externally, contained within the eyeball.....

I'm sure you don't need to be told how extremely dangerous this was!

The eyes (as with other areas in the body) (clearly) contain very small venules* which are prone to rupture - as you've experienced - during hypertensive episode. Imo, you dodged a very close bullet there bobbydarren! :\

* venules are the smallest type of blood vessel, below veins, typically construct circulatory anastomoses.

once again, thanks for all the replies guys

Scary stuff mate. I have zero experience after reading will borrow my dads BP machine to check mine just incase.

My heart rate is 65-75 at rest and 90-95 while on stimulants. Always had low blood pressure but it's been ages since I checked.

As others have said work closely with your doctor, be honest, stay away from drugs. Tell the people around you about what issues you've been having just incase they have to call an ambulance.

If you've got some problems with anxiety this stuff can be even tougher to deal with I bet. Good luck with the cardiologist, if anything changes before you see them contact your doctor. Thoughts are with you mate :) keep us updated.

yeah my plan is to stay away from drugs altogether from here on in (although admittedly, might have a puff of meth this arvo [purposely didnt take my BBers this morning] with this chick I'm picking up from work) but yeah, ill keep yous updated :)

I have high blood pressure too and when I tried meth last both my eyeballs started bleeding. Whites of eyes were all blood. Not bleeding externally, contained within the eyeball. I was not able to see what blood pressure I had but I think must have been dangerously high, I have never had my eyeballs hemorrhage like that. I never did meth again, as I decided BP must have been so high I could have had a stroke or lost my eyesight.

holy fuck dude, thats hectic! that would scare the living shit out of me! glad your alright now, just stay away from the gear from here on in ay.. if you dont mind me asking, what exactly is your blood pressure/heart rate like? is it just a little high or considerably high?

Best reply imo. After all, they are the spealist.

once again, thanks for the detailed response.. good to hear the loud 2nd heart sound could be other things less serious that P.hypertention as its been on my mind quite alot...
