Hydro and oxy combo

I would like to get some fresh answers on combining the two. I've seen a few older threads about this topic on other sites and maybe even this one, I can't remember I've read so many posts. Anyway, is there anything special or synergistic about mixing the two. I know from experience oxy is stimulating while hydro is relaxing, do the two mellow well together? Or Is it better to take them by their respective selfs.
