I put mine in a PVC pipe with the cap screwed down tight. Just be sure the cement is completely cured (like a month open to the air)

For nearly 40 years, been storing in a zip lock bag, inside a tupperware, in the freezer. I pull about a quarter oz out at a time and do that in under 10 seconds, while the container sits in the freezer. Never have mold, never loose taste or potency.
As to squeezing bud, I don’t know, but what do you get when you squeeze one in your hand and smell it?
That burst of flavour and scent is finite; I don’t sqeeze it tight, but do suck out the air quickly for sure.

Glass mason jar should be fine, I wouldn't assume you'd need to burp? As long as the lid is tight it won't dry out, if it does you could toss the ol' orange peel in for a bit to add a little moisture back in. Just not too much moisture or you could get mold.

I buy in quantity and just use mason jars. I usually stretch clear rap on the top before the lid to help keep moisture in
