How to do clubbing straight?

I can't do clubs sober. If I'm drinking, good luck getting me to stay out past midnight. That's why I prefer a comfy sofa in a posh bar and hit a dance floor only three times a year.

If you start going out sober be prepared to find that your "best friends forever" slowly become very annoying. It's as easy to get over drug friendships as it is to make bosom buddies while high.

For me,I wouldn't go sober . The combination of entering my favorite club for the first time while I was coming up on MDMA was truly magical and I feel if I was to go sober the magic (or 'illusion') would be over.

For the sake of settling this argument in my own mind, I'm contemplating going out clubbing again sober (well, weed doesn't count thanks to LOLTOLERANCE). I'll endeavour to line this up with any of my friends who're planning to go out and roll, just to see if even the contact high is enough.

I honestly think contact high might do the trick, if at least for a couple of hours before it 'wears off'....however I think those I'm with will need to be rolling face nicely before I can get myself into a dancing and partying mood without the MD.

Another angle to the argument of 'you don't need drugs to have fun' - do you HONESTLY think there'd be a 'nightclub scene' anything like that which we have now, if EVERYONE was sober? This includes alcohol.

well I guess it is a lot about conditioning. if you get introduced to the club scene by taking drugs every time you are there, then something might be missing without it. many people who only drink while going out also say that they can't do it without the booze. I never was a big drinker, so that isn't important to me, and I also can do without weed if I'm on a break. MDMA, for whatever strange reason, never did much to me, and I didn't use amphetamine often either, so I never had this drug fueled night life illusion using MDMA and similar drugs give.
I see clubs for what they are, and I don't necessarily go there to socialise a lot. for me it's all about the music, and if the DJ plays an amazing set, I'll be very euphoric and stimulated anyway, and if the party turns out to be shit, I'll leave with no regrets. but I am a music lover and DJ myself, so all of this goes beyond a weekend activity for me. :)
