How long until Xanax tolerance lowers?

I've been on 2-3 mg Xanax daily for 7 years, it worked well for my anxiety until I one day suddenly got paradoxical reactions to it. Maybe this wasn't just paradoxical, perhaps it was tolerance withdrawal?
I have now been 2 years off Xanax.
I've been heard that it may take a long time for the tolerance to lower, Wondering how long until Xanax tolerance lowers?

After 7 years daily its unlikely you will ever get back to baseline tolerance again but several months clean from all benzodiazepeines will lower your tolerance as low as it will ever return, after 2 years you are good to go if you have the desire to use again.

Would the tolerance build up really fast if reinstate after 2 years?

Do you think sudden "paradoxical" reaction could be a sign of tolerance withdrawal?
