Diazepam has got a very wild half-life, it can last anywhere from 20 hours to 200 hours! On average the half-life is about 30-60 hours which would give it a mean half-life of roughly 45 hours, its probably the longest acting benzo.

However the anxiolytic effect of Diazepam in my case does not work more than 8 hours, I take a 5mg pill 3 times a day

additionally - it has active metabolites = nordiazepam, temazepam, and oxazepam . very important to understanding it's pharmacology.

I agree with past poster saying that the anxiolitic only lasts 8 hours (tops for me), sometimes I’d nearly go as far as to say 6 hours.
It’s very well rounded and hits a lot of receptors.

Unless I eat 15-20mg of diazepam I really feel nothing... unless I am in WDs from alprazolam or other *drugs; then I notice a change in personality from a mere 5mg dose and this lasts for a full day or so. I rarely take diaz cause (like kratom) there are certain substances that I do not abuse as they are last resorts or specialty meds to keep my ugliest facets of personality in check.
I love the stuff as it provides a cushion for the hustler.
