How long does it take your body to become dependent on benzo's (Klonopin)?

Hello I'm new here, in relation to the thread title I'm prescribed 90mg of Klonopin (1mg x3 day) but I usually go through them in a week and never had withdrawal symptoms.

I've been doing this for close to 5 years but previously with Xanax (60mg /month ) until I switched to Klonopin around a year ago.

I don't want my body to become dependent on benzo's as I know W/D's can lead to seizure's. (happened to a friend of mine)

In the future I would like to take less daily so I have more throughout the month.

If I start doing 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off will I still be good? or does anyone know how long you need to be using it daily for your body to become dependent? Thanks

It can take days to weeks, depends on many variables. I'm surpised you haven't gone through wds, from 90mg in a week! I dont think it would make much of a diffference if you spread 90mg over one week, or two, but then again, wtf do I know, I would have guessed 90mg would have made you dependent..
