How is mdma supposed to smell?

The stuff I got has a syrupy smell kind of like pancake syrup. The powder is tan with some red specs in it my brother said was food dye? Not sure why that would be added. Just curious

MDMA can have all kinds of smells, from smelling like anise to a chemical smell to nothing at all. There's no way to determine if you have MDMA or not by smell, taste, texture, colour or any of those combined. Since this is bordering on substance ID and we can't give you a good answer anyways, I'm closing this thread
