Opioids How is it that 10mg of Hydrocodone gets me waaaay more high than 60mg Codeine?

Heck, I even took 120mg of Codeine the other day, but I'm nodding out like crazy right now on a single 10mg Hydro. I'm delaying my 5mg of Valium till later (take 10mg a day) even though I usually take it now, just to be safe. I'm itching like crazy all over my face lol, love that feeling. Is it because Codeine has to be metabolized? I wouldn't even want to take more hydrocodone with how high I am right now, not to mention I want to be safe.

You're most likely missing the enzyme a lot of the US population is missing (i believe its predominately males)


You have a small CYP-2D6 deficiency or another enzyme that aids in opiate metabolism.
