How does Valium or other Benzos make you feel?

Taken (abused) them for over 20 years and often go on a binge just for old times sake but after the first day or two, I feel absolutely nothing at all, I don't even get a good night's sleep. Like every drug, tolerance kicks in and eventually you can't really understand why you're taking them at all.

Takes away my anxiety completely (like Pregabalin) but try not to over do it or else I get very sleepy.

Diazepam makes me zonked out and sleepy.

Alprazolam is very moreish and you end up blacked out doing stuff you don’t remember.

Lorezapam didn’t seem to do anything for me.

Now these are my experiences and don’t necessarily compare to others.

Could be nothing at all until I wake up the next day with no memory of what happened. Oh and I'm mad for no reason

-or-

Like idgaf about anything, bullets, traffic, lightning, cops, wild animals with flamethrowers. I'm the life of the party. At some point I might bring up a wild story about the million other times I was fucked up.
Then waking up with zero or very little memory of the previous night. Oh and being mad for no reason.

You ever seen one of your friends take too many barz and winde up trying to fight everyone. Repeating themselves, and trying to steal.

Then you realize you've become that guy.

I don’t have many friends to being with in real life that do drugs so can’t relate but my MIL said i was talking to the door when i was on Pregabalin, Tapentadol, and (I think) Diazepam.

I hate showing I’m on something so it’s very embarrassing when that happened of course.

Someone mentioned pregabalin... had 100mg for breakfast. :)
Wow it's already 4 'ckock
But that bnz may wait for tonight. Wait. I think I just dosed.
Better make sure cause it's back to work tomorrow and will need support.
Preciate ya

Benzos are only "euphoric" to people who have major anxiety issues. Clinical anxiety. Otherwise you'll just feel relaxed and sedated, not much else. There is no real "high" like other drugs.

People who do not suffer from anxiety usually don't get anything from benzos. That's probably why you didn't like them...

Although, 5mg is quite a small dose and wouldn't do that much anyways.

Benzos are insanely addictive. If you took it for 3 months, instead of 1 week, then suddenly stopped you would realize why. It produces the most powerful and longest lasting physical dependence of any drug.
Barbiturates: Like seconal and nembutal, I thought were the worst?
Valium relaxes me a little but since I was on Ativan for over 6 years and it takes more than 1 Valium 10mg, to feel it.
However, it keeps my OCD and anxiety in check, usually. I still keep myself heavily armed when at home. I am scared to keep all my guns locked up and unloaded if someone breaks in.
WTF is the point of guns if you can't get to them and use them in a seconds notice. Also backup pieces, in case of a shootout.

Benzos are barley recreational like the first few times and then not at all whatsoever for me after that.

I mean recreational in the sense that they feel good.

Now what they cause (instant sleep/memory losss) I like those effects a lot but I don’t really “feel” them like I would feel a shot of oxy and bel like “fuck yes that feels good.”

For me they act as a filter, and take me down a notch when I feel overwhelmed. That's the therapeutical dose. Add a little more to that and find a quiet place or engage in something relaxing, and I feel like I'm floating through it, and life. It's complete physical an mental relaxation. Not a care in the world.
It makes room for the good stuff, watching life unfold and nothing can touch you. Getting a little clumsy, but that's okay. It can even be funny.
E eventually I start to get creative (painting, redecorating, trying things out). Unfortunately about this time that happens
Clonazepam seems to have this compulsive re-dosing quality to it
If I want to sleep, I do. And most times I have pleasant dreams.

Coming off is not so great, though. Mostly because of irritability, and I get very impatient. That's why I always take a day with a lower dose (where I just feel normal) before taking a brake from it.

For me, Valium is not euphoric at all. If i took alprazolam (1-4mg) or etizolam (3-8mg) I would be euphoric and ready to go. Diazepam and oxazepam, even bromazolam is very numbing and sedating benzo. Some others are way More recreational and "speedy", doesn't make you tired.

What's "speedy"?

It is the feeling (with benzos) of wanting to do something, getting extra energy. Not stimulating way, but More like mild euphoric enjoyment of doing things.
Right... I get that with clonaz. And it gets a little extra nice with a little modafinil before.

What? I was told by a dancer I had 8 but they embellish as needed iirc
Those really were the good old days. carefree....
Beautiful people are contagious maybe pandemic? 😉
Sleep is final answer. No boogie men. Don't care the cost. To live in the world I must disconnect as it's too much....
