Social How do you get an audience for your music?

Hi all, I’m an amatuer music producer, when I share my music I get as far as sharing with friends and family, at best I get 33 to 45 views or hits at best on platforms like Mixcloud, YouTube, Odysee, twitter, soundcloud. How do I reach out to a bigger audience? I’ve always struggled with this.

Hey Mark! Been a musician all my life. Have played out in bands at festivals and have played in my basement with my dog as my best fan. I saw a saying once in a book.

"Birds don't sing for the applause"

I say that to encourage you to continue to do what you love. Keep doing it. Feel it. Let it create pleasure and joy. An audience is there to reflect back the love you put out. You can still put it out and have it come back.

But as you do that maybe someone has an avenue to get the stuff out to the public. I think there is even a thread in this forum to post some stuff. So don't give up, just don't get caught on needing an audience.
