How can I access the old EADD threads?

The archive section has some bits, but nothing from here that I can see. I fancy reading the pre 2005 stuff around pills among other things from back then.

Can this stuff still be accessed?

You can use google search

For example:

"Pills site:bluelight.org before:2005-01-01"

Searching google with this string will show you all results in BL from before 2005.
 
I think there was a huge and ruthless purge a few years ago, and many threads were deleted in order to free up server space.

I've searched for several good threads from back in the day and a lot of them are gone.

Also at least one prominent member, who shall remain nameless, went round deleting all his posts after he decided he was leaving / got banned.

Yep, well he was / is bi-polar and going through lots of other stuff too, so much of that may well have been playing out on here.
